India Reached Mars In Just One Try!!!!

Whenever I think of India, I think of the beautiful Taj Mahal.  But India is so much more, it ranges from delicious foods, to the history that makes India such a practical and successful country. Still, anyone would say that India cannot do better than China or Europe, Russia and much more. Well they just proved you wrong, India is the first Asian country that reached Mars in the first try. Here is some more information for you:

India’s successful, low-cost Mars mission is a major milestone for the country’s space program, with experts predicting that it could open the door to lucrative space deals with the U.S. and Europe. India joined the select group of space nations on Wednesday when the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully placed a satellite into orbit around Mars. Speaking at the ISRO headquarters in Bangalore, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the orbit as a historic occasion for the country.Experts agree that the Mars satellite is of huge technological and political importance. “This mission is very significant,” Chris Carberry, executive director of  Explore Mars, a non-profit organization which aims to advance the goal of sending humans to Mars within the next two decades. “Mars is a very challenging destination," he added, noting that, up until now, only the U.S., the European Space Agency, and Russia have executed successful Mars missions. India’s mission is even more impressive given its modest price tag of $76 million, significantly less than NASA’s $671 million Maven spacecraft, which recently entered Mars orbit. Media reports have also noted that MOM cost less than the $100 million Hollywood spent to produce the movie “Gravity.”This week’s success should also be viewed within the context of India’s thriving technology and telecommunications industry, according to Roger Franzen, technical manager of the Giant Magellan Telescope at the Australian National University’s Mount Stromlo Observatory just outside Canberra.“For more than two decades, India has been developing a space industry because it saw the economic and technological benefits of such a hi-technology industry stimulus,” he told FoxNews.com. “India has already launched its own communications and earth observation satellites using its own rockets from its own soil - the step up to a semi-autonomous deep space planetary mission further demonstrates India's technological maturity.”The Mars Orbiter Mission, known as MOM, will circle the red planet for at least six months while its instruments gather scientific data.“It is possible that European and American companies (depending on regulatory restrictions) could approach India in the future, particularly if they can show that they are able to continue to launch inexpensively and reliably,” said Carberry. The expert, however, noted growing competition in the U.S. launch market with the emergence of commercial companies such as Elon Musk’s SpaceX.

My Winter Poem

Christmas is a time with love and joy,
its a time for presents and lots of toys.
A tree in a corner, shining so bright,
everyone happy because of its light.
A thick winter blanket covers the roads,
while Santa fills his sleigh with many toy loads.
All the little kids pretend to be nice,
skaters skating on beautiful ice.
All the shops coded in green and red,
and mistletoe hanging all overhead.
Winter coats visible with every soul,
Everyone checking their chimneys for coal.
All the big kids are happy for no school,
All the parents shopping for gifts that are cool.
Christmas songs played in every store,
Winter becoming deeper more and more.
Winter, my favorite season of the year,
and christmas a time which has no fear.
Winter, a magical time I say,
bells should be ringing every way.
Christmas, when everyone shares a bond,
the shining snow and more beyond.

My Life In Words

My life is a series of difficult ways,
my life is a series of beautiful days.
The sun rises everyday,
and my life turns in every way.
Everyday the moon shines bright,
everyday, I see a light.
My life is a meadow with flowers full,
its sometimes sad and sometimes cool.
The biggest part is my mom,
from whom I get my blessings from.
With whom my secrets stay within,
even when I lose, I always win.
My life is full with twists and turns,
with every mistake, I always learn.
Even if I sometimes get sad,
my life's not really all that bad.
The only thing that makes me smile,
is my mom, with whom I can walk a mile.
An ocean where my life lays in,
holds many secrets in within.

Living In The Shadows

This started as I was sitting in my room, looking out of the window. It was approximately 4:00 AM at the time. I started wondering to myself. Why had I done this? Why did I do this to my one and only sister like friend? Why? Just why? I needed answers, and I needed them now!!!! I still remember standing outside the gate of the nearest graveyard. Watching my friend fade away from my memory and had left everyone else asking questions. It was the worst experience, maybe even worse than death. This question had left me alone and I started living in the shadows. I was really depressed and I started talking less and less each day. It was when Julie and I were walking near the beach, really worried about our final exams the next day of school. Then I realized that I had left my phone in car. I told her to wait there while hurried to get my phone. She said okay and sat down on a bench alongside the sandy beach. I got to my car and got my phone, and I saw that Julie had called me 7 times. I got really scared and ran back to the beach to ask her what happened. But she wasn't there!!!!!!! I then heard a scream. I got really worried and went back to my car, I drove to the nearest police station and told them what happened. They agreed to help me. I was sitting in my backyard, when I saw a guy carrying a body shaped bag. I told the police and they let me go with them after I told how much I cared about Julie. I got in my car and we followed the man. We soon lost him, but still continued searching. The police officer told me to go home, they were searching, but it was getting late and I should be getting back. I didn't listen, and went the other way. Luckily, I found that man. I saw him and got scared, he was entering a graveyard. I saw him open the bag. It was Julie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started crying but kept quiet. I saw my best friend go away, I saw her go away and now she was lost to me forever. I saw her disappear, but there was nothing I could do. I was too scared to talk about that killing trauma. Why had I not spoken up? My words could have made a difference. A big difference. It was now 6 years since that happened. I still lived in same city though, just alone, only me and Karen, my roommate. I was still sad and blamed myself for everything. Karen knew just how disappointed I was. I decided that I am going to leave this city, and start a new life. Karen said she would accompany me, I agreed.
We were still driving, looking for a perfect place. Then I bursted into tears, when I heard the name Julie on the radio. But we had found our path.
"Stop, look at this", she tapped me and tried to make me stop crying.
"What", I said still sniffling and trying to stop.
"Look" , I looked up as she was pointing at a beautiful city. "We found our path", she said.

Our Friendship

"Wait", she said as I almost fell down the cliff of the path we took.
"What". I said, annoyed because I almost died. She said sorry and showed me the giant waterfall near the cliff.
"We've been walking for a long time, let's rest", she said in a tired voice.
It all started on a calm day when we were at school. Then all of a sudden, out of the ordinary, we heard gunshots. The war began. We were told to call our parents and then seek safety. My mom and dad told me that they were near our school and were coming there. My brother was in the same school as me, but in the first grade. My parents, along with other parents, ran to us and comforted us. Smiles seemed like they were extinct, we were all afraid. But then, everyone started leaving, me and my brother, and our parents went to our car to get to the nearest airport. We were just about to get on the plane, when  I saw my best friend, she could come with us. Her parents and she were lost from each other. We were about to go, when the airplane door closed with my parents and my brother inside, and Lucy ( my best friend ) were trapped outside. I started crying, because of the horrible trauma.
Lucy comforted me, " it's okay, we will find another way ".
Luckily, I had my phone, so I called my mom, the plane hadn't lifted yet.
She told me to not worry about them, just be safe, and to get away from this place as far as I can. She said that we will be together one day. I understood and me and Lucy started our journey.
We were near the waterfall, when I heard my name. It was my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Lucy's !!!!!!!!!!! We were really happy, as tears of joy filled our eyes. We had been apart for at least 3 years. Me and Lucy were really good friends. We had been through a lot together. Running, hiding, finding food, and always sticking by each other's side. I am proud to call Lucy my friend. But still, new adventures await us, adventures that were really crazy, they will await us. But I know that with my best friend, I can do absolutely anything.

Our Utopia

Our world is always considered a not- so perfect world. That is very, very true. Utopia means perfect world and can never describe our world. There are a lot of things that make our world imperfect. Jealousy, hate, war, conflict, poverty, taxes, politics, starvation, crime........the list is endless. Do you think that our world will ever be perfect? Some people that go through poverty, war, etc, have given up hope. But I haven't, I believe that if everyone works together, we can make our own utopia. Utopia just doesn't mean a happy world, it means a welcoming world, a world that I would love to live in. Can we build our own utopia?

OUR UTOPIA!!!!!!!
IF WE TRY!!!!!!

An Underwater Adventure

Once upon a time, there was a girl with an admittedly overactive imagination. She thought of everything in life as a joke. One day she was very heedless of her parents admonition when they told her never to go to the unknown lake near their house. She ignored them and went her way. She had no idea that she was completely annihilating her parents’ trust. She arrived at the lake and was stupid enough to go swimming in it. She then saw a glimmer in the water, and curiosity got the best of her. She unwittingly followed it as it swam away. When she finally saw it, she was agast of the result. It was a four headed fish. The fish was very ugly and frightened rose ( the girl ).  She then saw the glimmer subsiding. The fish entered a doorlike place and went into another dimension. She was really weirded out by this since she was devoid of this alien/fish/creature’s behavior. She still followed the fish and entered the dimension right when she had to come up for air. But the dimension served as a benefactor for her since she could breath underwater there. The situation started to plague her when she saw a big fish unleashing its wrath on a smaller fish. She started swimming away but the door closed and she was trapped in the other dimension. But to her fortune, another a very nice angelfish bestowed rose, and let her have another chance at the door. She finally got out and was relieved of this result.  She went home and told her parents the truth. They were very disappointed, but relieved that she came home safe and sound. Over time, she forgot about her experience and earned her parents’ trust back. She then one day had the same idea, to go the lake. She this time, told her parents. She often told her friends about this but they refused to believe her. She didn’t care though and went back to the lake and saw many more beautiful and some weird things, but got used to them over time. Later on, after her death, the lake was named rose lake. And only she and her parents know about the secret of the other dimension.

The Truth Will Not Subside

Whenever I wake up and look up at the sky,
I wish that I could be a bird and just go up and fly.
But the truth is that I’m human,
and that will not subside.
Everything will change,
once I go up high.
I could then see the earth, far from up away,
I could sit on top of trees,
and hover by the bays.
I would the have a nest, away from everyone,
and then I would pick on bullies, all of them one by one.
If I could have a wish, it would be to fly.
Then I could see all the birds, really close by.
But the truth is that I'm human,
and that will not subside,
The truth, will not subside.

My Journey With Time Travel

Have you ever wanted to travel through time? Do you know why? Is it possible? I have story that answers all of these questions and more. So, here is how it goes:

It was just an ordinary friday, and I had just reached school. There was a party which I was really excited about, it was our end of the year party. Everyone was talking about it and all day long. But, at the end of the day, my happiness was gone. I had just gotten the news that my puppy died, I was devastated. Her name was bella, and I loved her. I just wished that there was a way to go back in time and save her before she became lost to me forever. Then it came to me, I went to the library and did research on time travel. Surprisingly, I found out a lot. I then made it my task to get my puppy back before it was too late, and I had better started this trek if I wanted to find out more. My estimate on how long it would take was about 2 - 3 days. My first station was scientist H.G. Wells’ ( a real scientist ) lab, since he was a good authority on time travel, and since was an industrious man. He believed that time travel was possible. He tried convincing people that he had been working on time travel and that it works, but no one believed him, they all thought that he was crazy. I guess that I would be an exception to that since I actually thought that he had logic and was right. So, I went to him for help thinking he’ll help me. But, when I reached his lab, I found out that Dr. Wells was evicted for telling and creating such a big sham. They shut down his lab and locked it for a long time. My next hope was that they allow me to search his lab for help. To my convenience, they allowed me. I looked in his lab and found out that he was also working on cures for epidemics. He even found cures, but wasn’t able to present them to anyone. I know that that must infuriate him a whole lot, but he kept his patience. I then found something weird in his lab. Precisely a time travel machine. I asked the people working there about time travel while they were talking about lunch, they thought I was irrelevant and ignored me. I went back and tried to turn it on. It worked, it was a success!!! I got in, buckled up and started the machine. I finally had the chance, I went back in time and saved my little puppy. Then it was time to come back. The machine did not start back up again. I was really scared. Then something happened and the machine started, and I was very  relieved. When I went back, I  discovered that the time was frozen in the present. That was a good I suppose, I got my puppy back and things were back to normal. Things were great so far and I didn’t expect to get anymore bad news. I got my report card back, I got all A’s, it was awesome. Anyway; that was my story about time travel. I really hope that I get to time travel again, this time I wish to go back in time to meet Dr. Wells, so I can tell him that not everyone doubts him, because I believe him.

The New Death Trap "EBOLA"

Have you ever wordered about the deaths around you? Most of them are probably around you. The Ebola virus is the new reason for unexpected deaths. This virus is worrying a lot of people with the correct information. Here is some information that I gathered from different places. Ebola virus disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever, is a severe, often fatal illness in humans. The virus is transmitted to people from wild animals and spreads in the human population through human-to-human transmission. The average EVD case fatality rate is around 50%. Case fatality rates have varied from 25% to 90% in past outbreaks. The first EVD outbreaks occurred in remote villages in Central Africa, near tropical rainforests, but the most recent outbreak in west Africa has involved major urban as well as rural areas. Early supportive care with rehydration, symptomatic treatment improves survival. There is as yet no licensed treatment proven to neutralise the virus but a range of blood, immunological and drug therapies are under development. There are currently no licensed Ebola vaccines but 2 potential candidates are undergoing evaluation. The Ebola virus causes an acute, serious illness which is often fatal if untreated. Ebola virus disease (EVD) first appeared in 1976 in 2 simultaneous outbreaks, one in Nzara, Sudan, and the other in Yambuku, Democratic Republic of Congo. The latter occurred in a village near the Ebola River, from which the disease takes its name. The current outbreak in west Africa, (first cases notified in March 2014), is the largest and most complex Ebola outbreak since the Ebola virus was first discovered in 1976. There have been more cases and deaths in this outbreak than all others combined. It has also spread between countries starting in Guinea then spreading across land borders to Sierra Leone and Liberia, by air (1 traveller only) to Nigeria, and by land (1 traveller) to Senegal. The most severely affected countries, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia have very weak health systems, lacking human and infrastructural resources, having only recently emerged from long periods of conflict and instability. On August 8, the WHO Director-General declared this outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. A separate, unrelated Ebola outbreak began in Boende, Equateur, an isolated part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The virus family Filoviridae includes 3 genera: Cuevavirus, Marburgvirus, and Ebolavirus. There are 5 species that have been identified: Zaire, Bundibugyo, Sudan, Reston and Taï Forest. The first 3, Bundibugyo ebolavirus, Zaire ebolavirus, and Sudan ebolavirus have been associated with large outbreaks in Africa. The virus causing the 2014 west African outbreak belongs to the Zaire species. Here are the symtoms of Ebola. The incubation period, that is, the time interval from infection with the virus to onset of symptoms is 2 to 21 days. Humans are not infectious until they develop symptoms. First symptoms are the sudden onset of fever fatigue, muscle pain, headache and sore throat. This is followed by vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, symptoms of impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases, both internal and external bleeding (e.g. oozing from the gums, blood in the stools). Laboratory findings include low white blood cell and platelet counts and elevated liver enzymes.  This article is not here to scare you. Its here to inform you about the disease about you. So, be informed and keep safe. Here are a link to learn more about this virus.

My Fantasy Fiction

It was her first time babysitting, but she had brought everything she could possibly need, so she was sure nothing could go wrong. But she didn’t know what lay in front of her. She went to her neighbor’s house and ringed the doorbell, her neighbor answered the door. She said that she will be back soon, and left her 2 year old daughter Jade with Amber the babysitter. Amber and Jade were happy because they both knew each other, and Amber loved Jade, she thought Jade was the cutest little girl ever. It was almost Jade’s bedtime but she wanted to stay up late with Amber, Amber said no maybe next  time, and took her to bed. Jade didn’t want to sleep, so Amber read her a storybook- jack and the beanstalk, one of Jade’s favorite. Jade soon fell asleep, and Amber went into the living room, to watch T.V and eat apple pie, her favorite until her neighbor came back. Someone soon knocked on the door and Amber answered. It wasn’t the neighbor, it was a girl named Jenna. She had a huge stick in her hand and she hit Amber in the back of her head. Amber fell down. Her neighbor soon arrived, and saw Amber lying on the ground, she tried to wake her up, but Amber was too unconscious to answer. Her neighbor quickly dressed up Jade and asked Amber’s dad to babysit her. Amber’s mom and her neighbor, rushed to the hospital and the doctor told them that Amber will be fine. They took her inside and in about 20-30 minutes, the doctor came out and told them that Amber is fine, but unfortunately, she has lost her memory. Amber’s family tried their best to help. memory back, and even the smell of apple pie couldn’t bring her memory back.

Eternal Life

If you live to be any age, what would you choose? Living forever is a choice too, but think about it, would you really want to go on for eternity. Would you be vulnerable or would you enjoy it? I think that I would certainly not enjoy it, because life should keep going, if you live forever, that you’re loved ones will always go away, living in heaven and making you miserable. I would be really sad trying to scavenge for my loved ones. But here’s what life would be like; I was sent from an angel to find the saint that had the power of eternal life. I had faced many challenges, but I always found an astute way to  solve them. Then at last, I arrived at the saint’s house. He invited me in, and offered me a great delicacy of food. I politely said no because I was on a journey and had to hurry back. He understood and told me to follow him, I did. He took me to his backyard and I saw a weird figure standing before me. It was a beautiful creature. It must have been mythical and a figment of my imagination. The saint said to be careful, because he was worried the creature would devour me. I was just ignoring him since the creature was too perfect and had a beautiful and brightly coloredplumage, but I learned my lesson when the creature tried to slaughter me. I wished that I had listened to the saint prior to the situation. I then understood that the creature was a predator. The saint said that if you fight the creature and win, you get eternal life. I now had the answer. The saint helped me train and I won. I was happy. Time passed by ( 100 years), and I was just not getting old. All of my loved ones had gone away. I was alone. This was when my life seemed worse than death, (This is a story inside a story). This story is just to tell you that eternal life seems horrible for me. Take it from someone like me, someone with experience. Eternal life is a really bad idea and nothing would make me agree to the fact that its a good idea. Eternal life is just a way to be miserable. If I actually had eternal life, I would be very sad and would want to get back to  my regular life. When I got another visit from the angel, she told me that I was being selfish. She told  me that I had one way of going back to normal. I had to fight the creature again and lose, with a horrible injury. It is what I did, I actually lost, even though I ended in the hospital, but at least I would be with loved ones once again someday. I am never going to do anything like that again. I think that eternal life is the worst idea ever.

A salute to soldiers !!!!!!!!

Whenever I see a soldier, it makes me very proud.
to know I'm not in shadows, or even stuck in crowds.
To know that they are here, and that I don't have to fear.
Whenever I see a soldier, it always makes me care.
That they are always there for us and camouflage they wear.
Now, whenever I see a soldier wearing green and brown.
I know that they are here for us and that they will never let us down.

-Dedicated to our brave soldiers that fight for us everyday

Our trip to Coke World

Coke World

I had always wanted to go to coke world. I now had that privilege. It is a breathtaking sight and a great place to visit. You can even take a picture with the polar bear( it's not real )and then start your adventure. First you you start at the secret vault. This vault reveals many facts about coke along with the birth of coke. That's where I found out that India played an important role in the makings of coke. Next is a room displaying the coke history and tons more. The best place is the tasting room. There are over 100 flavors there. Some are good and some are-well you know. Anyway- last is the gift shop with everything related to coke that completes the experience. It is a really great place to go. I hope you go there too!!! Here are some pics!!! :

Our trip to Centennial Olympic park (Atlanta)

Centennial Olympic park is a 21 acre public park located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia owned and operated by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority. The park was built by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic games (ACOG) as part of the infrastructure improvement for the Centennial 1996 summer Olympics. The park plays host to millions of visitors a year and several events, including a summer popular music concert series (Wednesday Wind Down) and an annual Independence Day concert and fireworks display. It is a magnificent place to go to and is filled with a lot of historical facts. Its a really fun place to visit and the play fountain is super fun. Its actually might be one of the best parks ever. It is a really fun place to go.

Ode to My Parents

My parents, my guiding light

You give meaning to my life

You are the angels God sent to me

You are the reason I live happily

You help me out when I need you to

My parents, my guiding light

Even though, you’ll go one day,

In my heart you will stay

I will never let you go

Your memories will always glow

My parents, my guiding light

This ode for you, I recite

A message for the best brother in the world

I have a little message for Aadi, my little brother,  here is how it goes. It was really memorable day, October 12, 2008. Mom gave me the good news that I’m going to have a little brother. I was 6 years old. I remember that day now, and will always remember that day. Then I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Then one wonderful day, my life became really exciting, you came along. You were a pretty big deal to me, and you still are. I wanted to play with you all the time. Time passes by quickly, soon you were 1 month old, and you were the world’s best brother. Now it’s your fifth birthday, May 29, 2014. We have many more years to spend together. I just hope that I can be a good enough sister and live up to your expectations. I promise that I will always be there for you; I will always help you out. You can always depend on me for everything. I love you, Happy Birthday.

My nature poem

  Nature that changes my life

The wind makes my heart come alive
The water wants me to have a dive
All the trees look calm to me
The leaves are falling gently
The fishes are swimming in the sea
I think they want to talk to me
I wish that I could understand
With a blink of an eye and a flip of a hand
